The Trident of Neptune

The word "trident" comes from the Latin word tridens or tridentis: tri meaning "three" and "dentes" meaning "teeth", referring specifically to the three prongs, or "teeth", of the weapon.

The trident is associated with the Greek sea-god Poseidon and his Roman counterpart Neptune. A trident is a three-pronged spear, ordinarily used for fishing or as a polearm, a weapon on a pole used for close combat fighting, to extend the users effective range and striking power.

TRIDENT OF NEPTUNE - ROMAN RELIGION

The Trident of Neptune is a magical weapon that grants its wielder great power and the divine right to rule the sea. The original Trident of Neptune was forged by the cyclopes out of admantine and Neptune's own essence. It can manipulate and conjure water, as well as disperse energy in the form of bolts and forcefields. The Trident of Neptune may be used by his chosen champions, and was most recently wielded by Aquaman movie starring Jason Momoa.

The Trident beholds a vast number of magical powers such as the power to command the sea (making tidal waves or whirlpools or even making columns of water to stand on), control the weather (summoning rain or storms or creating rainbows), unleash blasts of lightning, transform living creatures into other forms, and it can also make things disappear.

The trident is a part of a set of The Seven Treasures of Atlantis. Seven mystical relics crafted from the Gold of Legacy and used by the former king of the seven seas Atlan in a bid for vengeance. This Trident was believed to have no supernatural powers or mystical properties other than being a symbol of Atlantean royalty, giving the user unrestricted right and lordship over the various oceans of the world.

Neptune (Latin: Neptūnus [nɛpˈtuːnʊs]) is the god of freshwater and the sea in Roman religion. He is the counterpart of the Greek god Poseidon. In the Greek-influenced tradition, Neptune is the brother of Jupiter and Pluto; the brothers preside over the realms of Heaven, the earthly world, and the Underworld. Salacia is his wife.

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 

The key players of the Pirates of the Caribbean film series are Johhny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow,  Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) and Geoffrey Rush as Captain Hector Barbossa, with Orlando Bloom as Will Turner.

The Pirates of the Caribbean stories follow the adventures of Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp), Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) on a quest for treasure, the fountain of youth with Joshamee Gibbs (Kevin McNally), and restitution from various curses relating to gold and silver coins, all the while evading the British Royal Navy, and Commodore James Norrington (Jack Davenport), featuring Blackbeard (Ian McShane) and Angelica (Penélope Cruz), ending with Carina Smyth (daughter of Hector Barbossa, Kaya Scodelario) and Henry Turner (son of Will and Elizabeth, Brenton Thwaites) taking a shine to each other against (Javier Bardem) Armando Salazar, who is seeking revenge.

Pirates of the Caribbean was produced by Jerry Bruckheimer with directors Gore Verbinski, Rob Marshall, Joachim Rønning, and Espen Sandberg. The series was primarily written by Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio.
